When the Frog Habitats arrived for the boys birthday's I was mildly curious. Maybe even looking forward to the arrival of four, small, black pollywog's that would remind me of the days of catching them at the "Stuffer's" camp out. I tolerated it when eight very large bull frog pollywog's arrived. I coped by putting a towel over the container so I don't have to see them (I swear they are watching me). Then they got big. How big? Six inches each.
Then Anja's birthday came and the butterfly habitat arrived. I was okay with two or three cocoons but then some of the larva didn't survived so I called and asked for replacements. I was expecting three, I got six. Three are in cocoons, six more will be soon. There is a towel over the jars because they are gross, too.

So now to the critter that visited me early this morning. It was a no sleep kind of night-- at 3:10 a.m. I looked past the computer and there on the floor next to my desk was a gray mouse. I screamed, it ran..down to the basement.
I searched the house and found a box of glue strips and put them down, then went to the gym for 1 1/2 hours to calm myself.

When I returned I found a mouse with one leg caught on the glue trying to chew it off. I screamed again. Then woke up my husband who hit it on the head with a shovel and threw it away.
SOOOOO NO MORE CRITTERS. I AM DONE FOSTERING NATURE! I've hit my max. Eight pollywogs, nine butterfly larva and one mouse. This princess is DONE!
(thank you for the birthday gifts, Scott. The kids loved them however, I will now be screening all packages sent from your house)-- love you!
