The cupboard is empty, there are no more,
no more bottles or nipples or formula containers galore..
I am free to put real dishes in now,
free from sippy cups that leak and smell, oh wow!
My children drink from cups and fountains
not from plastic bottles or my personal mountains (heehee).
So today is a new day, a new phase of my life
a phase I will not revisit until I have to, as an eternal wife.
What a day.... :)
(I did keep three sippy cups for visitors who may come, but Anja doesn't use them, she likes the cups with straws that we use for a while then toss. I'm telling you, this is a day to celebrate).
Part Two:
So to my sister who will enter back into this phase soon,
good luck to you as I smile and woo,
at your future baby who I don't have to feed,
from a bottle unless I feel a need.
And to my sister-in-law who is busy cooking number four,
the day will come for you I am sure--but for now, you're dealing with more.
love you both, Nix

I'm going to keep all my bottles, pacifiers and formula containers and pass them on to my 2 daughters who can now divide the responsibility of taking care of me when I am an old invalid-- which with 4 kids under 7 in the house might just happen sooner than later!
