He studied China in class for the last two weeks and announced this is where our next family vacation will be. He's watching some cartoon that uses Chinese words (a lot like Dora does with Spanish) to learn Chinese and has invited the entire extended family.
When my parents went on a cruise to the Bahamas last week, he asked them to find out two things: 1) is the food good, 2) is the boat safe. He then told them he needed to know because we are taking a boat to China--next month! When I explained that China is too far to go by boat, he said, "fine then we can just take the boat to Asia and take a plane to China."
He will not let this go!!!
He spent a day online looking up all his favorite foods to make sure they eat them in China (McDonald's and Oreos can both be easily found). He asks for Chinese food, wants to look at pictures of the Great Wall on the Internet, even asked to get his passport ready! We did get a tax return this year (first time!!) but not enough to go to China, sorry Jensen.

Maybe next year.

I love how much thought and effort he has put into this! Last fall Jayden was talking about going on her mission to China... she wants to help save the Panda Bears. Maybe we can all go together :)
I think I'd take China over Star Wars right now. Isn't it funny the things kids focus on?
Let us know so we can join you! We would love to visit China too. Alright, I guess you wouldn't want us slowing you down. Just don't tell Carly about saving the panda's or there will be no stopping her!
