Hit by Lightning!

(Rich took this picture--the lightning hit the top of the statue, turning his face, trumpet and arm black. You can see where the lightning exited the "ball" under his feet where the two black marks are)

So Rich gets all the good stuff-- I volunteer at the OMT and I am bored out of my mind. He volunteers and Angel Moroni is hit by lightning. What gives? (disclaimer-- the angle was really hit the night before but that bit of info wasn't released until the next day so all those who wanted pictures headed over to the temple the night Rich was working security from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m.).

The temple president told Rich they would take Moroni down in the next two weeks and reapply the gold before the temple is dedicated...
