The adventure begins!
It's been three long years since all the Coombs family members came together for a family reunion. Anja was only three months old Camille's husband, Bryce wasn't able to be there so maybe it's been longer. Regardless, this was the year. The planning started just after Christmas. We converged on the "cabin" at Sundance. This is the only camping I look forward to. The Cabin has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a rec room, two family rooms, two lofts, a pool and a hot tub in the basement, dinning room, full kitchen and several decks to overlook the resort. The only part that is a cabin is the wood used on the outside of the building (note: the cabin up the street was for sale, a cool $4.2 million--anyone interested?).
I was a little worried the kids wouldn't enjoy each other. Carter, Jensen and Anja are roughly the same age as Camille's oldest three, Zane, Brighton and Alta. It's been along time since they've been together. It went better than I could have hoped for.
Anja and Alta are four weeks apart in age and it showed. They played princess, pretended to be princesses and even watched princess movies together the whole time.
The water was so cold the first day there I wouldn't get it. The boys were braver than Anja and I. Good thing it warmed up that night.
Nothing better than a dip in the hot tub. Jensen kept a close eye on the temperature. He said it was perfect at 102F, not one degree colder or hotter. If it changed, he let us know immediately and wouldn't get in again until it was at 102F.
Rob and Katrina drove down from Logan, Utah, Camille and Bryce drove up from New Mexico and Cheryl's family came up from Arizona to be here. Rich and I had the shortest drive--thank goodness!

We swam at least twice a day which gave Anja plenty of time to wear all five of her swimsuits multiple times.
Zane (eight years), Brighton (six years) and Jensen (seven years)..the three amigo's! Jensen loved having cousins who wore glasses, too! And the fact that Zane was missing teeth too was a plus.
